Onyx Heart Earrings-Green Turquoise
"And now for something completely different..."
So, WOW! These are just for fun, and are another great example of how the creative process is unusual in it's unfolding. The carved Buri seed cube beads were in my "to get rid of" pile. They've been with me a number of years and never quite found a home in any creation. Until now.
These 2" earrings are composed of the Buri cubes, Onyx hearts, dyed Turquoise discs, and sterling silver beads. The earwires are nickel-free stainless steel to accomodate possible allergy issues.
A coordinating bracelet is awaiting it's clasp and will be posted soon.
Bronze Theotokos Necklace - SOLD
This piece was inspired by my time this past summer worshipping in two different Eastern Orthodox churches. Theotokos is the Greek title of Mary the mother of Jesus and the word literally means "God-bearer."
Consider the words of Meister Eckhart, the 14th century Dominican monk:
"We are all meant to be mothers of God. What good is it to me if this eternal birth of the divine Son takes place unceasingly but does not take place within myself? And what good is it to me if Mary is full of grace if I am not also full of grace? What good is it to me for the Creator to give birth to his Son if I also do not give birth to him in my time and my culture? This, then, is the fullness of time. When the Son of God is begotten in us."
The necklace is 18" long and is composed of a bronze cross, Garnets, and bronze wire beads.
This piece recently sold. The piece can be recreated on request with Garnets or other stones.
Fall Necklace- SOLD
This 22" necklace is composed of a vintage bronze triple chain, bronze findings, brass beads, and carved Jasper leaves. The Jasper leaves are wonderful shades of brown, red and gold.
Autumn is easily my favorite season. In South Texas, we aren't blessed with fall color, but ahhhh, that first cool north wind that blows in is such a welcome relief!
Coordinated earrings are available.

Sea Sediment and Copper Bracelet
This 7" long bracelet features the relatively rare mineral Variscite, also known as Sea Sediment Jasper. The stones are a beautiful dark teal with swirls of cream to dark tan. Bone, copper beads and clasp, and a copper spiral charm complete the piece.
The spiral is a fairly widespread symbol, but is perhaps most prolifically found in Celtic symbology. The spiral is associated with awareness, development and connection to the divine. In ancient Ireland, the spiral was used as a symbol for the sun.
