This piece was inspired by my time this past summer worshipping in two different Eastern Orthodox churches. Theotokos is the Greek title of Mary the mother of Jesus and the word literally means "God-bearer."

Consider the words of Meister Eckhart, the 14th century Dominican monk:

"We are all meant to be mothers of God. What good is it to me if this eternal birth of the divine Son takes place unceasingly but does not take place within myself? And what good is it to me if Mary is full of grace if I am not also full of grace? What good is it to me for the Creator to give birth to his Son if I also do not give birth to him in my time and my culture? This, then, is the fullness of time. When the Son of God is begotten in us."

The necklace is 18" long and is composed of a bronze cross, Garnets, and bronze wire beads.

This 22" necklace is composed of a vintage bronze triple chain, bronze findings, brass beads, and carved Jasper leaves. The Jasper leaves are wonderful shades of brown, red and gold.

Autumn is easily my favorite season. In South Texas, we aren't blessed with fall color, but ahhhh, that first cool north wind that blows in is such a welcome relief!

This 18" necklace is composed of a Turquoise cross, Bronzite, bronze wire beads, and glass seed beads.

Bronzite is gemological name for the common mineral, Enstatite. Bronzite is a chocolate brown colored gemstone with golden swirls that shimmer.

This 17" necklace is composed of Dalmatian Jasper, Salwag nut beads, antiqued brass beads, leather cord, and a 1.25" carved horn pendant.

The endless knot may have originated in Tibet, but the knot motif is found in cultures around the world. Whether embraced as a symbol of Buddhism or as a metaphor reminding us that life on Earth is deeply interconnected, endless knots are a universal symbol of the eternity of life and love.

This is a necklace composed of three strands of beads on a single clasp. The longest strand is accented with a bronze Coptic cross which measures 1".

The smallest strand is 18" in length and is composed of delicate multi-color Tourmaline beads. The middle strand is slightly longer and is composed of Tourmaline, Hessonite drops, and scattered heart shaped Pyrite beads. The longest strand is composed of Hessonite drops and Pyrite cube beads.

Hessonite is a stone in the Garnet family. The color of the Hessonite is a range of pale yellows to beautiful golden browns. Tourmaline is beautiful semi-precious stone that is found in an amazingly wide range of colors. An Egyptian legend suggests that the variety of color of Tourmaline stones was created by the stone passing through the rainbow on it's way to the earth's surface. Pyrite, best known as Fool's Gold, has a lovely metallic lustre. All of the strands contain bronze colored glass seed beads.

This 17" necklace is composed of Picture Jasper beads, Onyx cubes, brass, and black glass seed beads. The carved horn medallion on this piece is 2.5" in length. Earrings are composed of Picture Jasper, Onyx, and brass.

This 19" necklace is composed of a 1.25" Sterling Cross with Onyx, black glass beads, silver glass beads, and Sterling Silver beads and clasp.

This piece is a 19" long Anglican Rosary with a clasp. (The cross hangs down an additional 3".) It is composed of Nephrite Jade Leaves, carved wood, glass seed beads, and a bronze Ethiopian cross. Earrings made to match are included.

This 20" necklace is composed of a 1.75" long Bloodstone Teardrop, Brecciated Jasper cubes, Nephrite Jade, glass seed beads, and brass beads. The piece has a bronze clasp.
